A Ride on the MRT

Have you ever taken a ride on the MRT? It is one of the fastest and easiest ways to travel around Singapore.

At the station, people tap their cards and pass through the gantries. As the train arrives, doors open smoothly and passengers step in, finding a place to sit or stand. Inside, everything is neat and orderly, with clear signs showing each stop along the way.

As the train moves, something interesting happens. Many people—young and old—look at their phones. Some are reading messages, some are watching videos, and others are playing games. The train becomes a quiet space, with only the soft hum of movement and occasional announcements.

But if you look up, there is still plenty to see. On some parts of the journey, the train moves above ground, passing trees, buildings, and open skies. Every ride is a chance to notice something new.

People travel together, each on their own path. Some are busy, some are resting, and some are simply passing time.

The MRT is more than just a train. It connects people across the island—even when everyone is quietly in their own world.
